DAY 1 - Arrive in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
On arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. There is free time to explore this bustling city on your own.

DAY 2 - Rio de Janeiro
Travel through the Tijuca Forest to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Admire the 1,400-ton granite statue of Christ the Redeemer. Your afternoon is at leisure. This evening enjoy a BBQ dinner and a festive samba show. (B,D)

DAY 3 - Rio de Janeiro
Highlights of your morning tour include the Central Bank of Brazil and the Museum of Art. Conclude your tour with a cable car ride tothe summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain with splendid views of the city. The balance of the day is free. (B)

DAY 4 - Rio de Janeiro / Iguassu Falls
Fly to Iguassu Falls; you are transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, take a walking tour of this magnificent panorama of waterfalls on the Brazilian side. (B)

DAY 5 - Iguassu Falls / Buenos Aires, Argentina
View the Argentine side of the Falls, then head to the airport and fly to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. (B)

DAY 6 - Buenos Aires
Today’s sightseeing takes you to the Plaza de Mayo. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, and view Recoleta Cemetery and Palermo Park. This evening, enjoy Argentina’s famous beef and delicious wines and watch a spectacular presentation of the sensuous Tango. (B,D)

DAY 7 - Buenos Aires
A free day to explore further on your own, shop or simply relax. (B)

DAY 8 - Buenos Aires / Bariloche
On to Bariloche. See the city hall, clock tower and the many chocolate factories. Your evening is free. (B)

DAY 9 - Bariloche
Sightseeing takes you along the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Proceed around Moreno Lake and arrive at Lopez Bay. End the tour with a chairlift ride to a lookout point at Cerro Campanaro. The rest of the day is free. (B)

DAY 10 - Bariloche / Puerto Varas, Chile
Board a catamaran for the cruise across Lago Nahuel to Puerto Blest. Coach through pristine wilderness adorned by emerald lakes, pine forests, and glaciated rugged peaks. End your day in Puerto Varas. (B)

NOTE: The lake crossing will be modified on days 10 and 11, May through August due to weather conditions.

DAY 11 - Puerto Varas / Puerto Montt / Santiago
After a morning tour of Puerto Montt, transfer for the flight to Santiago. On arrival, you are transferred to your hotel in the central city. (B)

DAY 12 - Santiago
Sightseeing of the Chilean capital begins at the civic center and La Moneda Palace. You will also see Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral Metropolitana. The balance of the day is at leisure. (B)

DAY 13 - Valparaiso & Viña del Mar Excursion
Ride through Chile’s wine country to the historic port of Valparaiso and continue along the coast to Viña del Mar. Return to Santiago later this afternoon where the balance of the day is free. (B)

DAY 14 - Santiago / Lima, Peru
Fly to Lima and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, visit Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral. (B)

DAY 15 - Lima / Cuzco
Early morning flight to Cuzco. Take time to acclimate to the altitude of 11,444 feet. Later, see Plaza del Regocijo, the Cathedral, Koricancha and Inca ruins Sacsayhuaman and Tambomachay. (B)

Please note that the elevation of Cuzco is 11,444 feet.

DAY 16 - Cuzco / Machu Picchu
Travel to the Sacred Valley. Ascend by coach to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the “Lost City of the Incas.” (B,L,D)

NOTE: On the train to Machu Picchu, only hand luggage can be taken. Your main suitcase will be stored in Cuzco.

Machu Picchu is built on a steep hill, with uneven pathways, rocky terrain and no handrails. Visitors should be in good health and be able to walk without assistance.

DAY 17 - Machu Picchu / Cuzco
A free morning. Later, return to Cuzco. (B)

DAY 18 - Cuzco / Lima
Fly to Lima. Tour to the Larco Herrera and Archaeological Museums. (B)

DAY 19 - Depart Lima
Free day, if you purchased airfare in conjunction with the tour, are transferred to the airport for your overnight flight home. (B)
