Day DAY 2: Sail to Sullivan Bay
This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Baltra Island. Upon arrival, transfer to the pier and board the Galapagos Explorer II. After settling in, begin your journey to Sullivan Bay off the coast of Santiago Island. Here you will view the magnificent lava flows of varying types, such as pahoehoe, formed in 1897
Overnight: Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day DAY 3: Sail to Bartholomew Island/ Espumilla Beach
This morning, sail to Bartholomew Island (wet landing), whose 350 foot peak offers 360º views of five other islands in clear weather. Spend time walking on the beach, snorkeling, or simply taking in the panoramic view of the archipelago. While on the beach, keep a look out for the Galapagos Penguins, the only penguins north of the Equator, fishing near Pinnacle Rock and the White Tip Reef Sharks who hunt them. In the afternoon, visit Espumilla beach on Santiago Island, a popular place for marine iguanas and Sally Lightfoot Crabs as well as a multitude of other species
Overnight: Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day DAY 4: Sail to Isabela Island/Fernandina Island
In the morning, travel to Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island, an island made up of six shield volcanoes. Though the water can be rather chilly, you may enjoy time for snorkeling in the nearby bay, where manta rays, sting rays, sea lions, and dolphins are occasionally found. In the afternoon, sail to Fernandina Island and disembark at Punta Espinoza (dry landing), where marine iguanas can be found basking or diving for food among the rocks. Follow a trail inland and try to see Flightless Cormorants, the serpent necked birds who live free of natural predators on the island and are completely unique to the Galapagos
Overnight: Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day DAY 5: Sail to Tagus Cove/Elizabeth Bay
Journey to Tagus Cove in the morning, an area directly east from Fernandina Island on the west coast of Isabela Island. This beautiful cove is protected by the remnants of two volcanic craters, making it an ideal anchoring spot for sea faring ships over the last several centuries. On the cave walls you can see inscriptions of the names of pirates and whaling vessels that have weathered almost two centuries. Arrive in Elizabeth Bay in the afternoon after sailing down the scenic western coast of Isabela Island. This wide bay has a very high and colorful mangrove, which is in stark contrast to the lava in the area. In the summer months, you may be lucky enough to see whales in Elizabeth Bay who are making their yearly migrations
Overnight: Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day DAY 6: Sail to Floreana Island
In the morning, visit the historic Post Office of Floreana Island. In 1793 whalers created the Post Office out of a wooden barrel as a means to send letters home. The letters would be picked up by any vessel returning to port in England. This tradition is still alive today, as tourists are encouraged to leave letters(without postage) and also take letters to deliver them by hand. Spend the afternoon at your leisure or enjoying one of the optional activities the cruise may offer
Overnight: Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day DAY 7: Sail to San Cristobal Island
This morning, disembark the vessel to enjoy an excursion on the island of San Cristobal, the Galapagos' oldest and easternmost island. This island is where Darwin first landed in 1835 during the Voyage of the Beagle and has become famous for La Galapaguera, a breeding ground and sanctuary for giant tortoises. In the afternoon, visit Ochoa Beach and perhaps catch a glimpse of the sea lion colonies native to the area
Overnight: Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day DAY 8: Visit Santa Cruz Island/ Flight back to Quito
Visit Santa Cruz Island and see Los Gemelos (or “The Twins”), two deep volcanic pit craters located in the beautiful Scalesia forest. In the afternoon, you are transferred back to the airport for your returning flight to Quito
Overnight: Quito
Meals: Breakfast

Day DAY 9: Historic Quito City Tour
Depart from your hotel in the morning to begin your tour of historic Quito. Start by visiting the Plaza Grande, where a large monument dedicated to the independence fighters from 1809 resides. Admire the numerous historic buildings such as the Carondelet Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, and the Municipal Palace, all of which reside around the plaza. Continue on to visit the Metropolitan Cultural Center to gain a new appreciation for Ecuadorian culture and its rich history. Finally, visit the Compania of Jesus Church and the San Francisco Church, the former of which is one of UNESCO's 100 most important World Heritage Site Monuments in the world. Balance of the day at leisure
