Check in to your choice hotel, the deluxe Casa Andina Private Collection or the boutique-styled Miraflores Park, both handpicked for outstanding service, unique charm, and unbeatable locations in the lively and upscale Miraflores district.

Day 2 - Explore Lima #WHS#
After a free morning, your car and driver will bring you to the Gold Museum, with its vast and renowned - if not somewhat controversial - collection of pre-Columbian gold artifacts. Then explore Lima’s fine Spanish colonial architecture, including a walking tour through the Main Plaza. See the Cathedral and visit the 16th century catacombs of the Convent of San Francisco. Tonight, dine at Fusion a delightful restaurant under the direction of Rafael Piqueras, a young chef at the forefront of new Peruvian cuisine. Meals B,D

Day 3 - The Capital – Old & New!
Today’s privately-guided touring begins at the impressive pre-Incan ruins of Pachacamac. Then return to the city and explore Barranco, Lima’s lively Bohemian district, before a gourmet Peruvian lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in the area. In the afternoon, a curator will lead you through the respected pre-Columbian collection of the esteemed Larco Herrera Museum. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Lima / Cuzco
Fly to Cuzco#WHS#, nestled high in the Andes, and transfer to your choice of deluxe hotel in the heart of this charming city –oxygenated rooms at the intimate Aranwa Cuzco or the historic Monasterio. A local historian will join you for lunch, offering fascinating conversation and a great introduction to the amazing civilization of the Inca. Your private sightseeing includes the Temple of the Sun and the Colonial-era Cathedral. Meals B,L

Day 5 - A Day in the Sacred Valley
Journey into the Sacred Valley with your car, driver and guide to explore the rich culture and Inca legacy here in the Andean highlands. Visit the hilltop Incan site of Sacsayhuaman, the ancient town of Chincheros and a local chicheria where chicha, a traditional Andean beverage, is brewed. You’ll lunch at the family run Hacienda Huayoccari overlooking the Sacred Valley and then visit Awanacancha to learn about llama, alpaca and vicunia and how their sought-after fibers are woven with ancient techniques. See the beautiful work of skilled Andean weavers who draw upon the ancient techniques and motifs which have been used here for generations. Meals B,L

Day 6 - Machu Picchu… The Lost City of the Inca
Board the luxurious Hiram Bingham Train and travel through the Urubamba River Valley, with a delightful lunch served onboard as you enjoy vistas of Indian villages, terraced fields and snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, ascend to Machu Picchu#WHS# and explore the breathtaking ruins with your private guide. Tonight, enjoy your choice of accommodations: The luxury Sanctuary Lodge is the only hotel by the ruins. The delightful Inkaterra Machu Picchu offers charming casitas in a tranquil Andean cloud forest at the base of Machu Picchu. Meals B,L

Day 7 - Machu Picchu and back to Cuzco
Enjoy the luxury of a morning visit to Machu Picchu when the early light breaks across the mountain peaks. If you wish, you’ll have time to ascend Inti Puku or hike to the Sun Gate. Please note that paths and rocks can be steep, slippery and uneven – requiring caution! Later in the afternoon, board the Hiram Bingham Train for your return to Cuzco, enjoying cocktails and an elegant four-course dinner as you journey through the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival in Cuzco, you’ll be escorted to your hotel, the Aranwa Cuzco or Monasterio. Meals B,D
