Day 1 - Welcome to Belize City
Check in to a deluxe room at your resort-style hotel, the Best Western Biltmore Plaza.

Day 2 - Adventures Above and Underground!
A scenic one-hour drive brings you to Caves Branch National Park, set along a winding river that flows through the Maya Mountains where numerous caves were once inhabited by the ancient Maya. Your first adventure offers a bird’s-eye view of the lush forest canopy. Securely harnessed to cables 70 feet above the forest floor, you’ll ‘zip’ 100 feet (and more!) through the air from tree-top platform to tree-top platform.

Then join your naturalist guide for a 45-minute hike along jungle trails, learning about indigenous plants and roots used by the Maya. Coming to a cave entrance, you’ll be given a head-lamp and inner tube. Floating along gentle river currents, follow your guide into a network of caverns filled with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. Emerging from this beautiful underground world, inhabited long ago, you’ll continue on to San Ignacio where an air-conditioned balcony room awaits at the first class San Ignacio Resort Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 3 - Explore the Mayan World
A 19th century hand-cranked ferry transports you across the Mopan River for an in-depth guided tour through the ancient Mayan ruins of Xunantunich. Set on a high plateau, you’ll have time to ascend to the top of El Castillo, the largest temple at this site, for sweeping views across the Cayo District into neighboring Guatemala. Next you visit Cahal Pech, identified by archaeologists and scholars as an ancient royal compound. Set on a hilltop, this 6-acre Mayan site includes clusters of temples and palaces arranged around a series of plazas with terraces, carved facades and stairways. Meals B,L

Day 4 - At Leisure in San Ignacio
Explore at your own pace or join an available excursion. You can visit the vast ruins of Tikal in Guatemala or explore Caracol, the largest Mayan city in Belize. Meals B

Day 5 - From Rainforest to Ambergris Caye
A traditional healer guides you through the rainforest trails of the Masewal Forest Garden and Medicinal Trail. Here you’ll see the remarkable diversity of native plants, wildlife and birds, and learn bout the herbs once used by the Maya. The Gardens feature more than 500 plants with medicinal properties that have played a role in healing dating back to the Maya. Don Beto, a Yucatec Mayan, holds a lifetime of wisdom collected through personal experience, and passed by oral tradition.

Return to Belize City and transfer to the airport for your included flight to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. You’ll be met at the airport and escorted to the first class Ramon’s Village Resort, where your comfortable air-conditioned verandah room awaits. Meals B,L

Day 6 - Snorkeling at Mexico Rocks
Arise to the spectacular beauty of this tropical island where, just offshore, is the world’s second largest Barrier Reef! Today’s guided snorkeling excursion begins with a scenic cruise to Mexico Rocks, loved by marine enthusiasts for its abundant sea life, shallow crystal-clear waters and pulsating coral gardens. As you snorkel in these tropical waters, you’re likely to encounter grouper, lobster, barracuda, sand sharks and numerous varieties of colorful fish. Meals B

Day 7 - Unwind on Ambergris Caye
Enjoy an entire day at leisure here in this pristine paradise – to explore or relax just as you wish. Meals B

Day 8 - Fly back to Belize City
We’ve included today’s flight back to Belize International Airport on the mainland where our tour services end. Meals B
