  • DAY 2 - Arrive Rio de Janeiro (3 nights) Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.The balance of the day is free.   • DAY 3-Rio de Janeiro Join an exciting full day tour of Rio. Start with a cog-train ride through Tijuca Forest and up Corcovado Mountain.Disembark and walk up to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. Then, descend by train and head to a seafood restaurant for lunch. Afterward, pass by Rio’s world-famous beaches to board a cable car for a two-staged ascent up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Enjoy the spectacular views of the city before traveling down and continuing past Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park. Visiting the downtown area, pass by the financial and business center, the Candelaria Church, Saint Sebastian Cathedral, Lapa Arches, Municipal Theatre, National Library, Fine Arts Museum, and the Sambadrome, site of Rio’s famous Carnival parade.Your evening is free.   • DAY 4 - Rio de Janeiro A full day at leisure to see Rio your own way. For shoppers, jewelry, art and crafts arealways good buys.Perhaps sunbathe on Copacabana or Ipanema Beach.Sightseers can choose between two tours:A full day schooner cruise froma nearby fishing village with lunch and swimming or a half day 4x4 jeep excursion through a nearby rainforest (both own expense).   • DAY 5 - Rio de Janeiro – Iguassu Falls (2 nights) A free morning in Rio.This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, where your evening is at leisure. (Breakfast / Dinner)

  • DAY 6 - Iguassu Falls This morning, a local guide will show you the Falls from the Brazilian side on an informative walking tour. The two-mile-wide torrent is nothing short of spectacular. The rainbows, thundering roar and plunging cascades of water make this truly one of nature''s wonders. Later today why not join an optional outing on a jet boat to the
    base of the Falls. This is the best way to see their hidden secrets and surrounding tropical vegetation. (Breakfast / Lunch)


  • DAY 7 - Iguassu Falls – Buenos Aires (3 nights) Amorning tour will take you to the Argentine side of the Falls.Board the Ecological Train and ride to a spectacular viewpoint to see the famous Devil’s Throat.Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel,situated in the heart of downtown’s favorite restaurants and shops.Tonight,why not relax in the piano bar or take a swim in the pool? (Breakfast)

  • DAY 8 - Buenos Aires Start sightseeing with views of the Plaza de Mayo, including the Casa Rosada, Metropolitan Cathedral, and Cabildo.On to see San Telmo and colorful La Boca.Drive down Avenida 9 de Julio, the world’s widest avenue, and see Teatro Colon.After views of Palermo Park, visit the famous Recoleta Cemetery, where you will find the graves of many of Argentina’s leaders, including Eva Duarte, who later became Evita Peron. The balance of the day is free. Tonight, why not delight in an optional dinner and aperformance of the sensuous Tango. (Breakfast)


  • DAY 9 - Buenos Aires Take advantage of a free day and do as you please.Your Tour Director will have many suggestions, including a day trip to the Pampas to learn the daily life of the Gaucho (Argentine cowboy). You will enjoy a BBQ lunch with traditional music as well as a demonstration by the cowboys and their horses. For the shoppers, downtown is full of gallerias and boutiques with great buys in leather, clothing and arts and crafts. (Breakfast)


  • DAY 10 - Buenos Aires – Lima (2 nights) Your morning is free for independent activities.This afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.On arrival, you will be driven to your centrally located hotel in Miraflores, Lima’s premier neighborhood. (Breakfast)

  • DAY 11 - Lima A sightseeing tour begins at the Plaza Mayor, with its Colonial era treasures – the Government Palace, City Hall, and the Cathedral. Next, visit the Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum, with its extensive collections of golden jewelry and pre- Inca pottery. Lunch will be at a beautifully restored 18th century mansion.Afterward, return to your hotel,with the rest of the day free. (Breakfast / Lunch)


  • DAY 12 - Lima – Cuzco – Sacred Valley This morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cuzco and meet your local host. From here, travel to Urubamba, better known as “The Sacred Valley of the Incas.”Visit Ollantaytambo for a walking tour through the quaint village. Continue outside of town to admire the magnificent Inca fortress. Relax over lunch at a local restaurant before going to the Chinchero Market to bargain with the vendors for Peruvian arts and crafts.   • DAY 13 - Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu Transfer to Ollanta Station for the Vistadome train journey to Machu Picchu. There is time to explore the magnificent ruins of the“Lost City of the Incas”on your own after a guided walking tour. Enjoy lunch at Sanctuary Lodge before making the short trip to Machu Picchu Village and your hotel. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

  • DAY 14 - Machu Picchu – Cuzco (2 nights) Return to Machu Picchu for last impressions of this extraordinary monument.Hiking enthusiasts may want to climb Huayna Picchu. This afternoon, transfer by train back to Cuzco, where the balance of the day is free. (Breakfast / Dinner)

  • DAY 15 - Cuzco Cuzco is a city enveloped in myth and legend.With a history of more than 3,000 years, it is one of the oldest existing cities in the Americas. Traces of its Incan and Spanish heritage can still be seen today. A morning city tour shows you the Plaza del Regocijo, Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral.Then, visit the San Blas district,with its historic church and its wealth of arts and crafts. Also, visit several Inca ruins including the fortresses of Sacsayhuaman and Tambomachay.The remainder of the day is free.Dinner tonight is at a popular local restaurant complete with Peruvian folkloric music.   • DAY 16 - Cuzco – Lima Late this morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.Your afternoon is free to explore on your own. Check with your Tour Director about an optional evening out to celebrate a great South American adventure. (Breakfast)


  • DAY 17 - Depart Lima – USA You are transferred to the airport for your daytime flight home. (Breakfast)
