Days 1 - 4, Wednesday - Saturday - Depart for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Depart from home on Wednesday. Our journey begins in Rio de Janeiro with an ascent to the top of Corcovado for a breathtaking view of the cidade maravilhosa. We’ll see Tijuca National Park—the largest urban forest in the world—then stroll the famed beaches of Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. We’ll dance the night away at a lively samba show. A private guided tour of colonial Rio will include the Praça XV de Novembro, the Paço Imperial, the National Historical Museum, the Candelaria Church and the São Bento Monastery.

Days 5 & 6, Sunday & Monday - Iguaçu Falls, Brazila & Argentina
We fly to Foz do Iguaçu, where our expert guide leads us through catwalks and trails, discovering a lush rainforest alive with bamboo, orchids, parrots and spectacular vantages. Later we’ll take a breathtaking helicopter ride to view the falls’ cascades thundering down over 200 feet.

Days 7 - 9, Tuesday - Thursday - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Welcome to “the Paris of South America,” with art galleries, chic boutiques, lush green parks and tree-lined boulevards. Visit San Telmo, the best kept historical neighborhood and the birthplace to the tango. See the famous Recoleta Cemetery, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Casa Rosada, and Plaza de Mayo. Enjoy a privately guided visit to Palacio Paz, one of the most notable buildings in Buenos Aires. Learn the fine art of Argentine dance at the respected Mansion Dandi Royal, home of the Tango Academy. Enjoy a memorable dinner and tango show at La Esquina de Carlos Gardel.

Days 10 & 11, Friday & Saturday - Bariloche
After the big city buzz of Buenos Aires, we fly to Bariloche where a dramatic counterpoint of serenity awaits. Located in the Andean foothills, Bariloche offers numerous outdoor activities and the chance to indulge in the town’s quaint chocolate factories. Our journey takes us on a scenic drive through the rugged Patagonian landscape on the Road of the Seven Lakes.

Days 12 & 13, Sunday & Monday - Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt & Santiago, Chile
Driving through exquisite scenery, you’ll view the commanding Osorno Volcano before arriving at Puerto Varas. From Puerto Montt, we fly to Santiago, Chile. Here, visit San Cristobal Hill with its beautiful public park, offering a panoramic view of the ancient city spreading out toward the distant Andes.

Days 14 - 16, Tuesday - Thursday - Santiago
From La Moneda Palace to Cathedral Metropolitana, discover the beauty and nuance of Santiago. We’ll journey to one of Chile’s renowned traditional wineries, the Santa Rita winery, where we learn about the wine making process and explore the winery’s unique pre-Columbian art collection. Finally, we explore the Los Dominicos Craft Center, a cozy labyrinth of artisan and antique shops, cafés and a restored church.
